An independent, unpaid review of Gary Stevenson's public economic claims, with the occasional joke.
Why it exists
Gary Stevenson reaches millions of people with confident, simple explanations of Britain's economy. Some of what he says is important. Some of it is tidier than the evidence. This site collects the evidence and lets readers judge.
How we work
- Sources first. Every factual claim about Gary links to a source. If we cannot source it, we do not state it as fact.
- Opinion is labelled. Editorial views, satire and estimates are marked as such.
- Disputed means disputed. Where something is contested, we say who disputes it and note that Gary stands by his account.
- We credit what he gets right. Inequality is real. Housing costs are real. The criticism is about the evidence and the framing, not the concern.
- We correct mistakes. Every correction is dated in the corrections log.
Independence
We have no affiliation with Gary Stevenson, Gary's Economics, any political party, campaign group or media outlet. The site carries no advertising, sponsorship or affiliate links.

Gary Stevenson, or anyone named on this site, can reply through the contact page. We will publish a fair summary of any reply alongside the relevant claim.
