  1. Original pages restored.

Our rebuild earlier today replaced the Wealth tax and Satire pages and dropped the Britain's Future page and contact form. All are now restored. While restoring them we corrected: (1) Norway: removed unsupported claims that departures cost more than the tax raised and that the government debated reversing it; departure figures now come from tax-agency data. (2) Removed a "€60bn" French capital-flight figure and a Germany revenue figure we could not source. (3) Wealth-tax revenue is now the OECD's 0.2–1.0% of GDP range for countries that kept the tax. (4) Removed two quotations presented in quote marks that were our paraphrases, attributed to the OECD and Daniel Priestley. (5) Corrected the "10 million words" tax-code claim, which counts guidance handbooks, not law. (6) Britain is now the world's fifth-largest economy (IMF, October 2026). (7) Corrected Dan Neidle's positions on property tax and carried interest, and replaced an unsourced Priestley "10,000 entrepreneurs" target with his actual arguments. (8) Fixed a Diary of a CEO link that pointed to the wrong video, and corrected several satire video titles that were wrongly described as German-language.

  2. Full fact-check and site rebuild.

We re-checked every claim against its source. Changes: (1) The FT dispute now says eight former colleagues, as reported, not "several". (2) Removed a link to a National Review article that does not exist; the National Review item is a podcast review, now described as such. (3) Corrected the Rob Moore video: Rob Moore is the host; the ex-Citi trader interviewed is Kent Bray. (4) Removed "zero research positions", "zero academic citations" and "zero policy roles", which we could not support; added his honorary doctorate from SOAS. (5) Removed quotations we could not trace to Gary, including a video title and a "millionaire" quote, and removed quotation marks from a paraphrase. (6) Removed our estimates of his income and wealth, which were guesswork about a private individual's finances. (7) Replaced "real economists have systematically dismantled his claims" with a fairer summary. (8) Corrected several video titles and creator names. (9) Removed two videos whose titles allege fraud. (10) Added a section on where critics think he has a point.

  3. Academic credentials corrected.

An earlier version of this site stated that Stevenson had "no economics degree". He holds a BSc from LSE and an MPhil from Oxford. We regret the error.

  4. Site-wide language review.

Several phrases that could be read as asserting deliberate dishonesty were rewritten as disputed claims or attributed allegations. The Whopper Board and fairy ratings were added.
